Residential Group Homes

Nurturing Growth and Resilience

At St. Augustine Youth Services, we offer residential services to boys aged 6 to 17 who are grappling with behavioral, emotional, and mental health challenges. We're just like you - regular folks who care deeply about our community and the well-being of our children.

Therapeutic Group Homes: A Place to Heal and Grow

We operate three Therapeutic Group Homes for boys referred to us by the Department of Children & Families or private agencies. In these homes, we create a nurturing environment where the boys can process and heal from trauma, develop social behaviors, and build self-esteem. We're here to listen, to understand, and to guide them towards a brighter future.

Preparing for a Successful Future

Our Pre-Independent Living (PIL) group home is designed for boys aged 14 to 17. This home is for those who have graduated from our therapeutic group homes or have been referred to us. Here, we focus on teaching independent living skills that will help them thrive in the community once they turn 18.

Our Residential Services Include:

  • Trauma-Related Care: We provide a safe space for boys to process and heal from their past traumas.

  • Homelike Therapeutic Environment: Our homes are designed to be warm, welcoming, and conducive to healing and growth.

  • Therapy (Individual, Group, Family): We offer various forms of therapy to cater to the unique needs of each boy.

  • Engagement & Recreational Activities: We believe in the power of play and engagement in promoting mental health and well-being.

  • Independent Living Skills Training: We equip our boys with the skills they need to lead successful, independent lives once they leave our care.

  • Social Skills & Readiness Training: We help our boys develop the social skills they need to thrive in various social settings.

  • Psychological & Psychiatric Services: We provide necessary psychological and psychiatric services to address any mental health issues.

  • Employment Readiness: We prepare our boys for the workforce, equipping them with the skills they need to find and maintain employment.
